Keeping you healthy, keeping us healthy: COVID-19 Safety Protocols

This week, our Oregon State Governor Kate Brown officially announced a STAY HOME, SAVE LIVES order. At the same time, food producers, groceries, and farmers markets fall into the exempt business and services category outlined in the Governor’s Executive Order 20-07​. That means we can continue to provide you with food throughout this challenging period. We have decided at this current moment that we will continue to manufacture product for sale to groceries and through an online store. We are making home deliveries within the Portland area on Mondays and shipping by USPS within the continental United States. We also plan to continue attending the farmers markets on Saturdays, which operate as outdoor grocery stores. We encourage you to consider attending a farmers market as one of your few grocery trips of the week. The markets have put in place stringent protocols to maintain social distance and cleanliness. These were not easy decisions, and they come with careful planning. Your health and our own are more important than anything else. We wanted to share what we are doing to ensure our product is safe to eat and handle.

Guiding Resources

Noodle Manufacturing

Employees showing symptoms will be sent home right away.
Employees reporting symptoms will be required to stay home.
Deep cleaning across all affected areas, including the disinfecting of knobs, handles, table surfaces, doors, etc.  
Thorough cleaning of all equipment.
Frequent hand washing protocols.

We do not currently have any staff exhibiting symptoms.

Farmers Market Food Prep

Employees showing symptoms will be sent home right away.
Employees reporting symptoms will be required to stay home.
Frequent hand washing protocols including washing our hands whenever we leave and reenter the kitchen and washing our hands every 30 minutes.
Sanitize every work surface every 30 minutes.
Be especially diligent to run every piece of equipment we use through the dishwasher before use.
Maintain social distance of 6 feet between each other as well as with anyone at warehouse.
Only touch food while wearing gloves.

At the Farmers Market

Employees showing symptoms will be sent home right away.
Employees reporting symptoms will be required to stay home.
Sanitize every surface every 30 minutes.
Wash hands every 30 minutes.
Wear gloves at all times.
Maintain social distance of 6 feet between each other as well as any customers.
No touching any credit cards.
All food packaged to go for eating offsite.

While Packaging Online Orders

Sanitize all work surfaces.
Wash hands every 30 minutes.
Where gloves at all times.
Maintain social distance of 6 feet between each other.

As We Make Deliveries

Limit contact with all people and surfaces.
Maintain social distance of 6 feet between each other.
Wear disposable gloves whenever handling products.
Sanitize hands between drops.
Wear mask.

Once You Have the Noodles

Although not required, you are welcome to wipe down plastic packaging with a disinfectant, recycle the box, and wash your hands under warm running water for 20 seconds. Because you will boil our noodles, they will be safe to eat.
