Organic Ramen Noodles

The first certified organic fresh ramen noodle for the grocery store. We bring restaurant quality noodles to the home, building on the exploding popularity of ramen. Our ramen noodles cook in two minutes and are hugely popular with kids and adults! They have a whopping 12 grams of protein per serving.

Flour Sourcing: We purchase high protein wheat flour from employee-owned Central Milling in Utah. We purchase whole grain barley flour from Del and Angie Blanchard of Myrtle Creek Farm in Myrtle Creek, Oregon, who mill our flour to order.

Cooking Instructions: Bring a large pot of water to a rapid boil. Tease apart noodles. Add noodles to water and boil 2 minutes, stirring often. Drain noodles and rinse briefly in cold water. Shake out water thoroughly. Toss with oil to prevent sticking.

Organic Yakisoba Sauce

The only sauce of its kind that is Certified Organic! A deeply flavorful sauce: a little sweet (as yakisoba sauce should be), with less sugar than its competitors, and a strong tamarind note that keeps it from being cloying. Our yakisoba sauce is a perfect match for Umi Organic noodles and also wonderful for teriyaki chicken, tofu, okonomiyaki, and other stir-fries.

Flour Sourcing: We purchase enriched wheat flour from employee-owned Central Milling in Utah. We purchase whole grain durum and Edison flours from Camas Country Mill in Junction City, Oregon.

Cooking Instructions: Sauté 1 pound of thinly-sliced vegetables (like onion, carrot, and cabbage) and any protein you’d like to use. In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Loosen noodles gently by hand. Add noodles to the skillet. Do not stir. After 2 minutes, flip the noodles. Add 1/2 cup Umi Yakisoba Sauce, sautéed vegetables, and protein if using. Mix well and continue to cook for a few minutes or until you see a nice golden color on the noodles and vegetables. Recommended toppings include: chili oil, kizami shoga (pickled ginger matchsticks), aonori (powdered seaweed), and bonito flakes.
