About Us

Umi Organic is a startup based in Portland, Oregon, producing organic Japanese and Asian products. We currently sell organic ramen noodles in groceries and to restaurants in Oregon and Washington and are developing a line of fresh organic Asian products featuring regional beans and grains. Description

We are looking for a farmers market manager to direct our full farmers market program. This position will work independently throughout the week to prepare for the markets, managing kitchen production, including developing menus, sourcing ingredients and scheduling kitchen staff; setting up and working the markets, including hiring assistant staff to sell and sample our products and engage meaningfully with our customers; managing the farmers market bookkeeping: keeping up supplies for the market; and more.

This is a good job for someone with entrepreneurial spirit who is interested in small food startups and wants a taste of what is involved in running a local food business.
